The quality of these gimp pins is terrible and in my opinion you would be much better off avoiding them. As far as I know there is only one supplier and although the dark colours are marginally better, the lighter ones are not good. My advice would be to use an adhesive to fix braids and gimps (hot melt is ideal but UHU or something similar is OK otherwise).Of course nothing beats careful hand sewing so maybe you should consider a curved needle and some of the Gütermann Extra upholstery thread?If you were considering using the pins to close an outside back or arm then hand sewing a slip stitch with the Gütermann linen thread would be much better. .
