Ball pin hammers are commonly used to drive chisels, set rivets, bend and shape metal, and for general purposes such as tacks of different sizes and decorative nails.

Manufactured generally in accordance with BS876
Polished solid forged head from fine grain high carbon steel correctly hardened and
tempered, bell, cheeks and pein polished with a lacquer coating for rust protection

It has a head for tacking on one side and “ball”- point shape on another. Ball pin hammers are commonly used to drive chisels, set rivets, and bend and shape metal.
(and  cheaper than the magnetic hammer!)

Important

Never use a hammer with loose or damage head. Wooden handled hammers should be stored at ambient temperature. If stored in a heated environment it will cause wood shrinkage and the head to loosen, this can be rectified by soaking the tool in water overnight. Inspect hammer regularly to ensure it is free from looseness and defect.
